There has been so much controversial news during the past month and I think this is still The Biggest issue that people are talking about.   MC Mong has been the center of all news portals because there has been numerous rumors and claims that he purposely pulled out 12 of his perfectly healthy teeth to dodge his military duties.   People have also uploaded many pictures that show the empty space behind his mouth.   I feel bad for him because he has worked extremely hard to get where he is today and because of this one issue, people are turning against him.  From one perspective, I do understand why he continuously delayed his mandatory service.   For these people, being a popular celebrity is their job and I think we forget that.   Fame is their life.  It is what they live off of.   When celebrity is discharged from the army after  two years and goes back to work, it becomes really difficult for them to adjust back into the industry.  And I wish people would shut their mouths especially the girls that are criticizing him.   Us females, do not have to put our lives on hold for two years and complete a mandatory service.  Honestly, if I had a mandatory service I had to do, I would HATE it.   I mean wouldn’t you?!  That would mean putting a complete hold on your life for TWO WHOLE YEARS, and I do not think I could risk that, ESPECIALLY, if I was a celebrity.  Was pulling out 12 molars too much?   Yes, but that tells you how much he wanted to prolong his activities before he had to go serve his country.

We all know he is a good person, yes?  I bet you anything that he works harder than all of us.   We all know that he tries to do what is right, right?  So maybe, just maybe, the whole reason to this whole fiasco was because he was afraid after he was discharged from the army, he would come back to nothing?   Something to think about..

2ne1 is back~! & I have mixed reviews about it….  I remember right when they debut,  they just skyrocketed with their songs and image of being the female Big Bang, and their popularity was inSAne~!   They had such a strong image and specific style when they first debut that I would always wonder what their single/album concept would be.   They can’t always go with the same image forever.  They are eventually going to have to change/tweak it somewhat to keep everyone interested and coming back.  If Shinee sang song like Replay and Love Like Oxygen EVERY SINGLE TIME, we would get tired of it and would want to see them in dark colors, a black suit, some edgy hairstyle, etc etc right?!  So anyways, I excitedly waited for someone to upload their comeback performance so I could be in awe like I had been when I first saw them.   Ommgg….  Okay.. NO Offense I.. Uhm.. aigh.. their comeback was just o-k-a-y.  Lets break it down.

Their first song,  Can’t Nobody started off catchy, and I liked it but somewhere down the song, it fell flat.  BUT I really enjoyed their next song Go Away.  I really loved this song, especially the choreography!!  It was so unique and my favorite part was when CL  grabbed the red cup and threw it at the guy!  That part totally got me towards the edge of my seat!!  So that song got me super pumped up for their last song, Clap Your Hands.  I heard the first couple of seconds and my high just came swooping down so I hit the back button and watched Go Away again. haha~  I know many of you did enjoy the performance A LOT and know all of you are not going to agree with my opinions and that is perfectly fine.  I respect yours,  so just respect mine.

I have been busy with life  and therefore, I have sooooooooooo many things to “rave” and ramble about.  I LovE Sistar’s new single “Shady Girl.”  They really amazed me with their vocals especially Hyorin.  WoW!  That girl can sing anything!!  I remember seeing their “Push Push” performances which were fun/okay but not great, but this song showed us that they are not just another girl group with a pretty face.    I am really excited to see a rookie group with REAL talent.  I can definitely see them surpassing other girl groups within the future and I see them going places.

Yay~ my second rant!!  Since last week, i have been watching random clips of music performances, and WoW i never realized how many idol guy groups are currently in the kpop music scene.  There is: Shinee, UKiss, TeenTop, DNA, ZE:A, Infinite. SuperJunior, 2PM, 2AM, and CNblue.  Most of them have been around for a while, but i never knew that there were so many new groups trying to make it into the industry, and oh my goodness, I have things to say.

Lets start with the group DNA.  I believe that they have potential, but I feel they are too young, age wise, and too young, music wise break out of the kpop mold and do something different.  They are still somewhat of a young group, and it would be a risky move to try a different concept.  Their music, choreography, and overall “feel” does excite me.  If they debut about three years ago when the pretty boy concept was still popular, they would have had a better chance of succeeding.  However, now, the music in Korea is all about having abs, and having a charismatic “dark” mood.  I guess we are going to have to wait for them to mature a little bit more before they amaze us.

I don’t usually like a kpop group when i see them at first, but Infinite blew my mind when first saw them perform!  I LoVEd their slick choreography that matched to the beat of their song, but what really amazed me was how in sync they were!!  So a couple of times, i would randomly pause the clip and each guy in the group were all striking the same pose!!  I never knew a group could so syncronize~!  One random thought that was running through my mind: a couple of the members in the group resemble members of 2pm.  o_O was that the guide to picking members for the group?!

TeenTop song Clap made me awe, and then laugh super hard.  When they say “clap man” it sounds like “crap man.”  That just made this catchy/hot song hilarious!

Not a male idol group but I have to talk about my mixed feelings after watching SonDamBi’s comeback stage.  The first song she performed was Slowly Forget, and I absolutely loved it!!!!   Finally someone that was willing to do something different on the stage!!  Everything was so well put together.  Then came along Queen.  I don’t hate the song but i would prefer to hear and watch her perform Slowly Forget over Queen any day!

DSP’s girl group Rainbow is coming back this August!  Anyone excited?  They first came out when there was that surge of girl groups debuting.  They had some exposure, but i do not think they were that well received.  Dsp was not thinking straight when they released this girl group.  I bet you that they were thinking that since Kara has some fame, lets link it to a new girl group.   Why not since SM released f(x)?  Yeah not such a smart move dsp.  SNSD and f(x) may be girl groups from the same company, but they have a different image, style, and a different target market.  Kara and Rainbow; however, have that same cute image/style of music that  appeal to the SAME group of people.  Basically, it boils down to, they are competing against each other.

I think they are finally thinking straight!  While Rainbow is singing their hearts out in Korea, Kara will be in Japan promoting their song Mister.   Dsp has a chance to increase their fan base overseas, maintain Kara’s fans through Rainbow, and hopefully increase their fan base as well.  Clever~

I have been waiting to write about this since yesterday but I did not have the time until today to do so.  So apparently, there is a rumor going around that TGN Entertainmnet is going to debut a 20!! guy group!!!!!  Therefore; obviously, they are going to be linked into SuperJunior because they are the group with the most members, i am pretty sure,  in the ENTIRE WORLD.  When people heard about this new group, people, especially the girls have been, i would say, not hating, but overwhelmed with the fact that it might take them, oh.. about a year to memorize the names of these new boys in the neighborhood.  They are currently going under the name 20Stars, which automatically made me lose interest, so if I were them, I would protest with the company until they are able to officially change their group name to something like i.e. Rough Stars (just an idea).

Now I know people are thinking “What kind of person would put TWENTY guys in one group?!  Is he crazy??!”  I would think those exact same things because: 1. The cost for all their makeup, stage outfits, hair/clothes stylists, apartments, and managers are going to be tremendous.  2.  Korea is a small country so most likely, all the stages they will be performing on might not be able to accommodate all of them.  I am pretty sure there are going to be many incidents where a group member is going to punch another dude during a performance while busting out some kind of arm move.  3.  All the twenty guys are not ALL going to get along, which is that extra secret factor into why some guy groups have become popular.  & there are a string of other problems i could list but those are the obvious ones like everyone is going to get 5 second singing lines, not enough exposure, etc.

I always thought having 13 guys in one group, Super Junior was waaaay too many, BUT 20 is just wrong.   I believe that the head person of  TGNEntertainment is using the same strategy as SMEntertainmnet is.  SME debut a group with 13 guys, and a couple of years down the road, they debut a girl group consisting of 9 girls, SNSD (there was going to be more btw).  “Oh father SM, what were you thinking debuting so many people at once?!”  Ah ha…. but don’t you see?  He is a genius!  Evil, but a genius none the less.  He is debuting many people at once to see which ones will stand out of the crowd and which ones will fall back into the shadows.  Then later, he will know which ones to keep and which ones to release.   He is basically using Charles Darwin’s theory,  Survival of the fittest; seeing which member will outshine the rest.  Genius right?  The more people he debuts at once, a higher chance of more people that are popular, which equals to more money into the company.  Like I said before, by the end of the day how much $$$$$ you bring is all that matters.  TGNEntertainment is doing the SAME thing!   I feel bad for the guys because I know that all twenty guys are not going to shine like the stars they want to be.  I wish it could happen, but in reality, its not.  The only thing we can do is wish each of them the best of luck, and hope that they are thick skinned and make it big in the industry.

Hankyung, having temporarily left his former group super junior, is currently pursuing a solo career in China.  He has released a string of new songs and his recent song Fire is receiving heavy criticism because it sounds similar to a song called Checkmate sung by DBSK back in 2009.  The song Checkmate was written by Uknow himself, and even though they did not promote it, the song received great reviews.  People are saying Do you not have a conscience plagiarizing in China, I don’t want to believe its plagiarized, to From Korean standards, it is not considered plagiarism.

Now what do I think is going to happen?  Well, I believe his company or he himself is going to come out with a formal apology.  However, I do not think SM Entertainment is going to press charges.  Why do I think this?  Hankyung is SME’s  door to the Chinese music industry, and he is from China.   His people are going to be standing right behind him no matter what.  If SME tried to sue, or whatever they could do, people in China would be furious and would take no interest if SM artists decide to move into the Chinese market which basically equals to no $$$$, and by the end of the day, that is all that matters.

Yay!! Finally someone that can backup their fame with REAL talent.  I heard his teaser and i was disappointed because it was all autotune.  However, I listened to the whole song and it is unbelievably awesome!!  I cannot wait to hear and see him perfom this song live.  The 3 year wait for his comeback was worth it.  This song is the whole package: his voice, the beat, and visually everything is simply amazing.  What are you waiting for?! if you have not hit play already, do IT! You will, for sure, be raving about this song too.

There are tall Asians out there, but generally, their average heights are about under six feet.  Asians, and I know Koreans for sure have this thing for having to be at least 180cm.  There is this idea that all male celebrities are tall and people get disappointed when they realize that the celeb is just as tall as any Korean person.    Several Korean celebrities, in the past, have admitted that their actual height and their their height stated on their profile is different.  Now, netizens are speculating that Rain is not 185cm (roughly estimates to 6′ 2″),  but much shorter.  In the first picture, he is clearly shorter than the guy on the left, Lee JungJin.  It could be the location and angle of the camera, but even that should not create such a difference height.  Also, in the second picture, he does look like he was enjoying himself for the last couple weeks because his body does not look as fit, which can contribute to why he looks shorter.  Until Rain comes out on a television show explaining the pictures and telling us his actual height, we are going to having to continue to guess.

I have been mia for about a month and i am finally back~ i have soooooo much to write about from music to just random stuff that has been clogging my mind.  So, lets begin.

I am loving Shinee’s new track “Lucifer.”  I think the choreography, the beat, and clothes and everything else in between is AmazinG~  And all the guys look hot, but there are 2 things that i do not like.  First is the name of their song, Lucifer.  I wonder if people in Korea know WhO Lucifer is.  A Random funny story:  so i commented something similar to what i just wrote on one of their videos on YouTube and i got a reply back saying  “Yeah Lucifer is that cat from Cinderella” and that just made me hahahahahaaa.  WhooHoo! go fat kitty~!! And secondly, i gasped when i saw Key’s hair during the music bank performance.  It was just horrible.  Thank goodness someone sane enough to realize it did not repeat that hair style for the next performances.

The song Mr. Boogie by f(x) was very f(x).  I think the sudden one week promotion of this song was to test their waters with a different concept before they officially decide on their concept for a comeback.  Of course, Victoria looked hot as always.  Luna may be “short” standing next to her group members but she has so much more to show on stage than any of the four.  Sulli was cute as always.  When i saw Krystal, the first thing that went through my mind was DRAG-QUEEN!!  The long black hair, her makeup and the lace she was wearing did not flatter her in any way.  Amber was not able to perform because of her injury but couldn’t they have waited until she was able to perform? Amber brings the extra cool factor into the group and without her, the group lost a little of their luster.

ChaeYeon made a comeback with the song Look Look Look, and why was it so sudden?  Well, i think it is because HyoRi is taking a vacation from the industry, and there is not a surge of people she will have to be up against, which leads to my conclusion of why she released a new song out of the blue.

This is pretty recent news and it is about 4minute receiving criticism for stating that all the members together, none of them had plastic surgery done AFTER LPG admitted to having a total of 27!!!! done all together.  So LPG retaliated back by saying how they are not able to recognize 4minute without their makeup but once they are in makeup, they are so pretty.  I personally love 4minute so i got even more angry when i read what they had said.  It was just rude.  LPG retaliated because they knew 4minute was lying about their comment after they just confessed to one of the biggest secrets of their lives (in Korea it is like a forbidden topic & people are not comfortable talking about it).  Why else would they have said what they did?!
